There’s no Place like Home

May 15 @ 5:11 pm

The clean and refreshing cold of a Canadian winter breeze was appreciated by the edsi team who spent last week in the de-thawing climate of South America. Our friends in Peru are already missed, but it is nice to be back home again with a booster shot of appreciation for the comforts of our society, and geared up to launch edsi to new heights…

Well we made it safe and sound to the vibrant metropolis of Lima. A big group this time: Andrea and David Ranalli, former MP and current board member Frank Valeriote, Videographer Levi Pounds, Fashion Designer Faren Tami. And yours truly. Girl Rising

May 15 @ 5:11 pm

We are sometimes reminded about the ingenuity of humans and the power to create change through seemingly small initiatives. A group of talented young high school students have shown that age, or lack of resources, does not limit one's ability to spark such progress and change.  But rather the power rests in the mind and the heart. Herein lies an…

May 15 @ 5:11 pm

Well, we made it back in one piece. After a red-eye flight yesterday which was  expected for 2am Sunday but instead took off at 5:00am, the edsi project team and I finally were able to return to the comforts of Canadian life. As I'm sitting here outside on my front porch breathing non-emission-particle-laden air, I am not just referring to…
